One new thing that we at Cota Farms are excited about is our wildlife/wetland reserve. We are working on putting 10 acres into one of the Dept. of Agriculture’s conservation programs. This would be a permanent easement which we would improve with prairie grasses and waterways. We would also add a path or trail through it for walking. We already have wild ducks and geese with some very beautiful cranes, Great Blue Herons mostly. In the spring, we host about a million frogs and toads. They are so loud some nights, you can hear nothing else. Fortunately, I have always been a fan of these guys. I picked up a horned toad once when I was in Texas! These are very rare now, maybe they are all gone and most people will never see one.
Good post and this fill someone in on helped me alot in my college assignement. Say thank you you for your information.
